Reverend Bob Walker ~ Minister of Music
Bob is a native Floridian, having been born in Tampa. He moved around a lot over the years, living in eleven U.S. states and Italy. All that moving around did bring him back to Tampa to graduate from high school. Bob then served in the USAF for just over eight years before moving back to Tampa to attend the University of South Florida.
At USF, Bob met his wife, Nanette. Both were freshmen music majors. They were married after he graduated with a Bachelor of music degree. They then moved to Louisville where he attended The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, attaining a Master of Church Music degree.
Bob and Nanette served in two churches in Georgia for about twenty four years before retiring and coming back to Florida to be near their parents in their later years.
Bob sang with the Sons of Jubal (Georgia Baptist's men's choir) for about twenty years, serving two terms as president of the group.
Bob and Nanette have four children and thirteen grandchildren.
One of his favorite Bible verses is John 3:15-17. For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.
